Escape Alcatraz Review
Theme:
Escape Alcatraz has two missions in this box. First you have to escape your cell without the guards catching you. In the second mission you have to return and rescue your boss, then escape again and get off the island
Thoughts on this mission:
Alcatraz was suppose to be impossible to escape from. Because of that it has often appeared in movies, tv shows and video games. So an escape mission from Alcatraz is a great theme.
The kits always have some interesting elements that are clues and used to solve the puzzles. Included with this kit: toothbrush, plastic handcuffs, marker, gloves and a spoon.
Capone was on the list of prisoners. I love that they included real prisoners and I am curious if all the prisoners they included are real.
I feel pretty dumb when I can’t even get by the first puzzle without using a hint. But overall I was able to figure out the puzzles and didn’t use as many hints as I usually have to.
Some puzzles will continue from the first mission into the second, they will let you know which ones.
Each kit has different puzzles. The variety makes it interesting and keeps you thinking trying to figure them out.

I am not affiliated with Escape the Crate, I just enjoy the mysteries. I subscribe and buy these myself.
This was super cool! Thanks for sharing!
That looks like a fun activity! Do you escape by yourself or is it something that you can do with friends (once the evil pandemic ends!)? I know that there have been all sorts of movies about escaping from Alcatraz, which, I understand is as hard to escape from as Devil’s Island!
You can do this with friends or by yourself. I subscribe to Escape the Crate and they have a new mystery every other month. I also do other mystery boxes that I will be writing about also.
