Escape the Ripper Review
Even though this mission has a more grisly theme there are 2 missions in the kit. The first mission is more family friendly, you are searching the home of one of the Ripper suspects. The second mission is in the dark alleys of London examining his latest victim. It has more details and shows body parts, talks about the bodies, and has some blood splatters.
Thoughts on this mission:
Two missions in one box!! It’s like double the fun for the price of one. I couldn’t wait to get started. I don’t know much about Jack the Ripper, so I didn’t know how if I would like this kit. Besides the usual papers that the kit includes, there was lace, magnifying glass and a foam heart. I love these extra things they find to include and then relate them to the theme.
A family friendly mission along with a more bloody one is great idea to have something for everyone. Jack the Ripper seems like a hard topic to find a family friendly theme, exploring a suspects home was a good idea.
I love that everything gets used to solve the puzzles even the box.
I still can not get through a mission without using the hints. Even on the first mission which says it is easier than the second mission, I used hints. Although I did get through the first few puzzles and thought maybe this will be the first time I don’t need any hints… still hasn’t happened yet.
The last puzzle from the first mission was crazy and I didn’t finish it. I had a distraction and couldn’t get back into game mode so gave up. My plan was to get back to it but I never did. This was not a problem with the game, just me.
They have a clue to the next box’s mission at the end of every mission, I love having a hint of what is coming up.
