Thoughts About This Mystery:
Since this was the first Deadbolt Mystery published I thought it would be an easier, quicker mystery. There were a lot of puzzles packed into this one and it was very well done. We were able to get through most of this one without any hints and only had to look at the hints once and after I read the hint I was like duh, I could have figured that out.
You get pretty far into the box and do a few puzzles before you start eliminating suspects and I was getting worried we wouldn’t be able to figure it out, maybe we did the puzzles out of order and just that the ones we picked were not clues to eliminate suspects.
It was a fun box and a great mystery for their first ever box. It wasn’t too hard if you are just starting out and want to try a box to see how you would like it. I just need to remember everything is a clue… hint, hint. It’s a good introduction to Valley Falls and the characters that live there.
This mystery took us about 2 hours to complete, this was 2 people working on it, I usually do them by myself so this would have been a long one if you are doing it alone.
I can’t wait to try some more of the older mysteries.
This box is an older box and the stock they have on hand changes frequently so if you want to try this mystery and it is out of stock keep checking back, hopefully it won’t be too long until they restock.
*I am not affiliated with Deadbolt Mystery Society, I just love their mysteries.
I love murder mystery books and movies. I have attended a murder mystery party years ago. I’m not sure I like it. It sounds interesting though.
This is so cool! It’s like an escape room delivered to your house. My family would love something like this. I’ll have to check it out. Thanks for sharing.
Yes it is designed to be like an escape room at home. They have a lot of different kinds, I am sure you can find one your family would like.
