Deadbolt Mystery Society Sweet Tooth Mini Mystery Review
Description (from Deadbolt Mystery Society website):
Sweet Tooth (Mini Mystery) (November 2020) – Investigate the cutthroat world of baking in our newest mini-mystery as a famous food critic is found murdered after planning a visit to Valley Falls to review its finest culinary establishments. Note: This is a mystery that is half the size of our normal boxes and takes about half the amount of time to complete. The mini will be delivered in an envelope, not a box. Difficulty Rating – 5.5/10
My Thoughts About This Mystery:
Oh wow, I love the bright colors and theme of this mini kit. I feel like I put on 5 pounds by looking through this packet. It makes me want to run to the bakery before I get started. Pastries, chocolate, candy… can’t wait to get this one started and see what’s going on in Valley Falls this time. Plus there is a coconut cream pie fudge recipe… sounds yummy. I love coconut and I will have to try this, I hope its a real recipe and not only a clue.
After Finishing the Mystery:
This might be my favorite theme so far. All the clues, puzzles and evidence fit so well with the sweet tooth theme. The suspects cards are all dressed up in their cooking uniforms and look so cute. It doesn’t seem right to be describing suspects in a murder mystery as cute.
Clues that spread out through a few different pieces were not connecting for me and I need a few hints. But after finishing, I did pretty good with this mystery and might have used less clues than usual. Of course it was a mini mystery so I shouldn’t go patting myself on the back.
An enjoyable mystery, it’s too bad it was only a mini mystery. It was over so fast.
